I just left the opening of In Your Dreams. OMG, there were some terrific photographers on view. Ted Maloof had an exquisite image, as expected. I can't even begin to comprehend how he got so much detail in an almost totally black image of a flower. Exquisite is the only word that comes close to describing it. It was so impressive I can still see it in my mind; like the tune you are humming after seeing a great musical production.
Many many thanks to everyone who sent me emails or phone calls of congratulations this last week; and special thanks to Dotty, Jim, Rhonda, Amon, Florry and Krista for coming to the show.
About 20 minutes into the event a very kind person came up to me to tell me she overheard "others" talking about me and she thought I would want to know. This being my first ever photo exhibit my first thought was "somebody liked my photo"! She then helped me remove an adhesive sticker from the rear right left leg of my new jeans; it was the waist size sticker. I am 2 days into a yard sale at my house and all my jeans were either dirty or hidden so I rushed out to buy a new pair for the event. It is so hard not taking yourself too seriously; it is a good thing I have lots of help. As my good friend Pat Birdsall would say, "oh well.."
